Kidney on Ice looks at organ trafficking from a variety of perspectives, exploring the tragic stories of people selling their organs and those who desperately need a transplant. The different issues around organ transplantation are also highlighted by interviews with professionals in the field.
A drama/documentary about being cheated into slavery as a beggar in Poland, as a prostitute in Russian or as a labourer. The film's target group are youngsters. It is produced for preventional purposes of human trafficking in Moldova, but is being widely used by organisations in a number of countries for information and educational purposes.
Over the past years many European countries have seen a sharp increase in the number of Nigerian women involved in prostitution. The overwhelming majority of these women are victims of human trafficking. Joy and Anna were both trafficked from Nigeria to Denmark.
